Since 1949, E.J. Thompson & Son LLC has served the Charleston, WV, area’s heating, air conditioning and plumbing needs. But where did it all begin? When E.J. Thompson decided to begin his HVAC business, his commitment to quality workmanship was always at the forefront. Eight years later, his son David joined the business, and the two worked together to provide installation of high-quality HVAC systems, plumbing services, general HVAC repair and much more. The two ran the growing and thriving business for another 24 years, when David’s son, John, joined the family business on a full-time basis.

Three years after John joined, E.J. Thompson & Son LLC made another major leap, as we developed a partnership with Trane and began to provide their HVAC products throughout the Charleston area. For 25 more years, the business operated in that form until 2009, when John took the helm as owner. Though technically retired, his father Dave remains active in the business to share his expertise. Today, E.J. Thompson & Son LLC still thrives and remains a staple in the Charleston area, remaining loyal to the mission of high-quality work that doesn’t break the bank.
